The part where I improved the most was at drawing the gestures. In the beginning, I drew stick figures as the gestures because I thought the teacher said no outlines, but she said no definite outlines. I had stiff stick figures with a big head on the first day. On the last day, my 30 second gesture drawings were much better. They were less stiff and looked much better.
The most difficult part was using the charcoal because it was hard to draw with them. The charcoal got all over the place and when I drew a line that wasn't supposed to be there, it kind of ruined the drawing since all lines were very dark. When I drew with a pencil, I had a lot of lines but it was easier to see the outline since I made it darker. The easiest part was drawing the gestures because they didn't take a lot of time and because I could basically just draw all over the place and the person wouldn't look bad.
This is a new skill that I really hadn't practiced before. It is something that can help me when I draw people. It is also a new method of drawing people that is good and that I could use whenever I draw someone.
