How I grew the most as an artist from this project was that I learned how to use chalk pastels. They actually turned out better than what I thought.
If I could start again, I would change so many things. I would try harder on drawing the arm and hand. I would also work more on the shadows of the cloak because it doesn't look very realistic. Another thing I would change is the color of the clock and also make the trim around it wider. I would also make some of the flowers look better since some of them don't have a lot of value. The skeleton still needs a lot of work also.I didn't have enough time to change all of those things.
I think I did meet both of my goals. I don't know about the value part but I tried. I also think I got the message I wanted my drawing to have but it can be confusing because a person can see it in so many different ways.
I decided to only present my drawing in the digital portfolio because it's confusing and weird.
The biggest risk I took was using chalk pastels. It was a success because they make the drawing very colorful and cool and they also go with the meaning of the drawing. The chalk on the skeleton got really smeared but you can't really tell that much.
