How I think I grew most as an artist is that I got better using R-mode when I draw negative spaces. I think I did a good job because the white positive space in my final piece looks like what I was trying to get by drawing the negative spaces. If I could start over, I think I wouldn't change anything. I also think I did meet both of my goals. I got better at drawing negative spaces and I think I successfully made the mood of my piece be peaceful because flowers make me think of peaceful places. I chose to only present it in my portfolio because I don't think it's very cool. The biggest risk I took on this project was painting the background the way I did. I could've just left the background as a single color because it would've still looked good but I didn't. I decided to paint random leaves and flowers in the background. I didn't know if the leaves would look good or if it would make the background seem like just a whole bunch of leaves randomly there. I think this was successful because it made the whole drawing better. It also makes it more interesting to see. I also think it adds to the mood.
